Joie de Vivre Hotels, the largest boutique hotel company in California, is dedicated to becoming a green company. We are proud to present the Hotel Carlton as our first awarded Green hotel. Hotel Carlton's efforts in becoming green include using:
- Non-toxic cleaning products
- Recycled paper and soy based inks
- Recycling programs in guest room and hotel operations
- Linen reuse program for guests
- Fluorescent lighting throughout the hotel
- Motion light detectors in guest rooms
- Low flow shower heads and toilets
- Organic products at our restaurant, Saha
- Local charitable organizations to donate used bedding and unused amenities
