Our mission is to help communities thrive socially, economically and environmentally. We design buildings and streets, we plan downtowns and commercial districts, and we sustain neighborhoods with new and renovated libraries, community centers, recreation facilities, grocery stores and the best "green" practices.
Sustainability and smart growth are integral to our design process. We know the wise use of materials and resources, and intelligent urban design provide long-term benefits with global impact. Field Paoli is committed to the LEED process and more than 50% of our technical staff are LEED APs. Our in-house Green Committee administers the firms' Environmental Policy, maintaining a current knowledge base to achieve a minimum Silver LEED certification for our projects, and to support sustainable core business operations.
Specifically, Field Paoli has adopted the following policies and practices:
- Reducing waste by donating reusable items to charitable organizations; providing reusable plates, cups and utensils within the office and promoting their use; salvaging used packaging, such as boxes and envelopes; recycling all paper, bottles, cans, and composting food and food-soiled waste.
- Using paper products with high recycled content and purchases services from companies with green business policies.
- Promoting the use of public transportation, participate in spare the air campaigns, and provide employees with access to commuter checks and car share organizations. Our staff actively participated in San Francisco's Parking Day.
- We encourage and support our public and private clients who reach for the next level of sustainability within their reach.
